Urualla is a historic clan located in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. It is one of the major ancient communities that make up the Ideato region — a name derived from “Ide” (meaning strong or great) and “Ato” (meaning three) — representing the three principal clans of the old Ideato. The town of Urualla also serves as the headquarters of Ideato North, reflecting its central role in the political and cultural identity of the area. The people of Urualla trace their ancestry to a proud lineage of industrious, peace-loving, and community-driven forebears who valued unity, tradition, and progress. Over time, Urualla grew into a federation of eight major communities — including Umuezemeazu, Uzoakoli, Ozu, Ozuomee, Umuago-Ndide, Umuakoli, and others — bound together by shared customs and kinship.
